Event History

The Lions Club of Jersey Swimarathon first took place in 1972 and was initially conceived as a 'one-off' fundraising event.  The 2019 Swimarathon was the 48th consecutive event which, since its inception, has raised more than £3.5 million by and for the local community.  It has supported over 120 local charities over this time. The 2020 event was unfortunately cancelled as a precaution against COVID 19 with the 2021 event being run but pushed to a July timeframe. The 2022 event will be the 50th event and is back in its usual March timeframe.

The Lions Swimarathon is Jersey's longest running charity event. It is attended by teams from schools, corporates, charities, families, government and clubs.
